The GEK vision

Everyone has
their own GEK.

Gedrag, Energie, Kwaliteit: behaviour, energy and quality. Three pillars that reinforce each other. On this page you can read what each pillar means and how the vision comes back in every training session, every programme and every partnership.

And yes: gek is also the Dutch word for crazy. That is entirely the point. Your GEK is the combination nobody else has, and that is exactly what we build a programme around.

Gedrag · Behaviour

Growth starts when you take ownership of yourself, your development and your choices. Talent is good, but talent alone gets you nowhere. Behaviour decides how far you get: how you train when nobody is watching, how you react to a setback, how you deal with feedback.

That is why at HockeyTime we look at behaviour first. Not to judge, but to understand what drives you and where your growth is. Anyone who learns to see their own behaviour can learn to steer it too.

  • Ownership of your own development
  • Conscious choices, on and off the pitch
  • Learning to deal with pressure, feedback and setbacks

Energie · Energy

Behaviour without energy stays an idea. Energy is the fuel that turns ideas into plans, plans into goals and goals into performance. It is the intensity you train with, the sharpness you start a match with and the enjoyment that makes you want to be better every day.

Energy is also something you can manage. We look together at where your energy comes from, where it leaks away and how you aim it at what really matters.

  • From idea to plan, from plan to goal, from goal to performance
  • Intensity and enjoyment in every session
  • Learning to steer where your energy goes

Kwaliteit · Quality

Quality does not appear by itself. Only when behaviour and energy come together does the journey to the prize begin. Quality sits in your technique, your tactics, your physical capacity and your mental strength, but also in the quality of your choices at the moments that matter.

Everyone has their own GEK: exactly the thing that makes you different. We translate your qualities into a development plan that fits you completely as an athlete, trainer or coach. No standard manual, but tailored work.

  • Technique, tactics and physical capacity at your level
  • Delivering quality at the moments that count
  • One development plan that fits your own GEK
The vision in practice

This is how it works
in every service.

The GEK vision is not a theory for on paper. It determines how every training session, every coaching programme and every club partnership is built up.

/ 01

Training

One-to-one training, group training and drag-flick training. Every session is built around your level and your development goals: no standard drills, but material that fits where you are right now.

You see the vision back in the structure: we work on behaviour (how do you train?), energy (with what intensity?) and quality (what do you train?). That is how every repetition becomes one that counts.

Coaching

Team coaching, mental coaching and performance coaching. For anyone who wants to get better at performing, on and off the pitch. Together we map out where you or your team stand and where the growth is.

Here it is all about the complete athlete: behaviour and energy get just as much attention as the hockey itself. Because those who get to know themselves better perform for longer.

Clubs

Workshops for trainers and coaches, clinics in groups and advice on technical policy. That is how a club builds development that sticks and that fits the identity of the club itself.

The GEK vision gives clubs a shared language: trainers, coaches and committees look at development in the same way and strengthen each other because of it.
